Hi, I’m Cynthia, the artist behind Three in the Trees. I’m a one-person show, combining late nights, endless cups of coffee, and a whole lot of imagination to bring original, hand-drawn digital art to life. Every piece in my collection is crafted with care, passion, and a touch of whimsy—because art should make you feel something, whether it’s joy, nostalgia, or just a little bit of “wow, that’s cool.”
My Journey
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, but my shift into digital art came a few years ago, fueled by a desire to explore new tools and challenge myself creatively. (Shoutout to YouTube tutorials and trial and error for getting me through the learning curve!) My work spans a wide range of styles—from surreal and bold to humorous and quirky—reflecting my love for variety and the little details that make life interesting. My most recent endeavor was publishing "The Creative Thinker", a mandala coloring journal - that I am stoked to have stocked in local shops and have available on Amazon.
Why “Three in the Trees”?
The name Three in the Trees is inspired by my life in the woods with my husband and three children—a little world tucked away in nature, full of creativity, chaos, and quiet moments of wonder. It’s a reflection of the balance I try to bring to my art: rooted in life’s wild beauty, growing with every twist and turn, and always reaching for something new. Just like the trees around us, it’s about finding strength, connection, and growth in unexpected places.
What Inspires Me?
My inspiration comes from everywhere: the vibrant chaos of everyday life, quiet moments in nature, and even the occasional “what if” idea at 2 a.m. I love experimenting with themes that balance beauty and boldness, often with a surreal twist or a little humor thrown in for good measure.
